Enjoy the sounds of the  Boston Pops, James Taylor, David Brubeck, New York Philharmonic, music of Weber, Berlioz and Tchaikovsky,  Juilliard String Quartet just to name a few...Yup! you'll find all that at Tanglewood. You may also find  A Prairie Home Companion at Tanglewood with Garrison Keillor. Tanglewood's  property consisting of 210 acres.  Concert-goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, food and wine to accompany the music .The lawn is a popular destination for much of the crowd but if you would like a closer look you can get tickets for inside the Shed.

The largest Contemporary Arts Center in the county. Performing and Visual Arts, concerts, film, dance and theater.  MASS MoCA is a historic mill complex in the Berkshire mountains of Western Massachusetts which was converted into a multi-disciplinary center for visual, performing and media arts. The New York City Ballet performed here in 2002.

Kidspace at MASS MoCA is an art gallery and studio space in the heart of the MASS MoCA complex that is designed especially for students, teachers, and families. Exhibitions include innovative and challenging work by contemporary artists working in all media, as well as art materials and supplies so that young visitors may create art of their own.

The Basketball Hall of Fame collects, preserves, displays and makes accessible materials that document the history of basketball from its founding in 1891 to the present. The Hall of Fame documents basketball on the high school, college, professional and international levels, both men and women.  There are 241 Hall of Famers and four teams enshrined into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. DR. SEUSS NATIONAL MEMORIAL is located a the Quadrangle there is a Sculpture Garden with 5 bronze sculptures displaying Dr.Suess's art. Included in the 5 sculptures are a replica of Dr.Seuss himself with Cat in the Hat, 14 foot high Horton the Elephant, the Grinch and his dog, Yertle the Turtle(10 turtles tall), The Lorax, Gertrude McFuzz, Thidwick the Moose and  Things One and Two.

The Zoo in Forest Park

The Zoo in Forest Park is a non-profit organization governed by the Forest Park Zoological Society. Situated in Forest Park, a 735 acre woodland park in Springfield, the Zoo features exotic and indigenous animals representing a large variety of species found throughout the world and in North America.
There are more than 100 species and also a seasonal train tour not to mention lush gardens for your enjoyment. See the Alpaca, Wallaby, Cougar, Bear and more of their friends. There are trains rides, a snack bar and a gift shop too.

Here you'll find 14 Galleries of paintings and sculptures of
Fine American and European - including works by such masters as Homer, Monet, Pissarro , O'Keeffe and Calder. Paintings are 14th thru the 20th centuries - works by Chardin,  Gericault, Tiepolo, and Corot. The Impressionist Gallery boasts works by Pisarro, Degas, Gauguin and Monet.
